TN: 2 cattle thieves arrested in Chennai

The theft was recorded on CCTV cameras, and the footages were sent to the police.Residents said the duo could have stolen more than 90 goats from different localities in the Red Hills. CHENNAI: Police have arrested two youths who roamed the Red Hills area and lifted goats found on roads.The duo -- A Surya, 20, of Ananthanayagi Nagar and S Dilli Babu, 23, of Bharathi Nagar in Korukkupet area -- were caught when they attempted to lift a goat from Konimedu in Red Hills area on Thursday.Police sources said the duo picked up a goat that was grazing in a farmland in the area. When they shifted it in to an autorickshaw, the animal started bleating. They might have sold each goat for Rs 4,000 or more..
