‘Villain’ bull dies after suffering injuries

VELLORE: More than 50 villagers bid teary farewell to a 13-year-old bull – Villain -- that died on Friday after suffering injuries in a bull race called manju virattu at Munjurpattu on Thursday.The bull belonged to Palkar (milkman) Mani, 55, of G R Palayam in Vellore. He bought the bull a decade ago and called it Villain, (inspired by the title of Ajith-starrer "Villain" movie) .The bull had been actively participating in bull races held in the area for the past 10 years. As my bull had a big fan crowd in the surrounding village, we erected two digital banners at the entrance of the village to announce his death. Soon after the unexpected accident in the race , we immediately rushed Villain to a veterinary hospital and was given treatment under the supervision of a retired government veterinary doctor .”“Villain succumbed to the injuries around 3.30am on Friday.
