Tamil Nadu Infrastructure fund management cooperation will provide necessary funding support.The Greater Chennai Corporation got a major boost in terms of allocation for infrastructure development as Rs 500 crore has been allotted under Chennai Mega City Development Mission for development of roads, drinking water and sewerage connections.Apart from this, the government has committed to accord sanction Rs 5,259 crore to remediate and reclaim existing landfills in Kodungaiyur and Perungudi and also to set up waste-to-energy plants..
