Venkaiah flags off Chennai-Nellore MEMU train

CHENNAI: The railways on Thursday launched a MEMU (mainline electric multiple unit) express train service between Chennai and Nellore, fulfilling the long pending demands of passengers. Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu flagged off the train from Nellore railway station, in the presence of railway minister Piyush Goyal.Train No 66056 MEMU will depart from Nellore at 5.45am and arrive at Chennai Moore Market Complex at 9.05am. It will stop at Ponneri (5:14/15pm), Gummidipoondi (5.34/35pm),Tada (6.09/10), Sulllurpeta (6.23/24), Nayudupeta (6.49/50), Gudur (7.29/30), Venkatachellam (7.49/50) and Vedayapalem (7.57/58). The train will stop at Vedayapalem (5.55/56am), Venkatachellam (6.00/01) Gudur (6.25/26), Nayudupeta (6.50/51), Sullurpeta (7.10/11), Tada (7.22/23), Gummidipoondi (7.40/41) and Ponneri (7.54/55).In the return direction, Train No 66055 MEMU will depart from Chennai Moore Market Complex at 4.30pm and reach Nellore at 8.20pm..
