CHENNAI: The state on Tuesday told the Madras high court that it had decided to transfer all FIRs registered in connection with the Pollachi sexual abuse case to the CBI. The court was hearing the anticipatory bail application moved by Tamil biweekly Nakkheeran's editor R Gopal. "The state has already taken a decision to transfer the investigation in the main case to the CBI and a GO has also been passed to this effect. All other the connected cases in which independent FIRs have been registered are also going to be transferred to the CBI to ensure that a single agency investigates all the cases," public prosecutor A Natarajan said.Recording the same, Justice N Anand Venkatesh closed the bail application. The DGP had said the nature of the crime is extremely serious and hence, some specialised attention and more laborious and dedicated investigation with technical expertise is required.Since the DGP had highlighted the seriousness of the case and the fact that the complainant is not the sole victim, the advocate wanted the court to monitor the investigation..
