Social Media is filled with applause for the three sanitation workers who went out of their assigned job amid heavy rain pouring in Chennai.
DCP T Nagar shared the news in a post on Facebook that on Sunday night, the sanitation workers spotted a package on the street as it rained heavily.
Instead of avoiding it, they reported the matter to the T Nagar Police Station.
Officials, thereafter, traced the owner of the package and handed it over to the person.
"In the midst of heavy rains at midnight, three contract sanitary workers saw one lost package.
Rather than ignoring and continuing their work and leaving for their homes, they showed professionalism and a call beyond their duty and intimated the #TNagar Police, which helped police trace the owner for safe handover.
