The famous clothing store is located in T Nagar of Chennai.

The large number of customers at the shop was a clear violation of coronavirus protocols, which led to the shop being sealed.

After sealing Kumaran Silks on Tuesday, the Greater Chennai Corporation went ahead and issued a warning that action will be taken against all those who don’t follow the instructions given that need to be followed during the coronavirus pandemic.

The viral video shows hundreds of people gathered at the Kumaran Silks shop in Chennai with no distance being maintained.

The customers can be seen standing close to each other in the crowded confines with hardly anyone wearing masks.

According to media reports, the video of the Kumaran Silks store was shot on October 18.

Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu have neared the 7-lakh mark with over 10,600 people dead so far.

Chennai alone has nearly 2 lakh coronavirus cases and ahead of the festive season, local authorities had issued strict guidelines to be followed to stop further spread of Covid-19.
