Chennai students to launch own statellite along with PSLV C51 tomorrow News Today

Chennai: Jeppiaar Institue of Technology (JIT) Sriperumpudur is all set to launch its own satellite – JITsat along with PSLV-C51 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh at around 10.30 am tomorrow. PSLV-C51 rocket which is the 53rd mission of PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) will launch Amazonia-1 of Brazil as primary satellite and 18 co-passenger satellites from Sriharikota about 100 kms from Chennai. JIT managing director N Marie Wilson and principal L M Merlin Livngston said “Thestudents and faculty have worked towards their dream of creating own satellite since 2018. ISRO has tremendously helped in testing and integration of the satellite and the whole success of the JITsat Mission according to a press release.
