Chennai: Jeppiaar Institue of Technology (JIT) Sriperumpudur is all set to launch its own satellite – JITsat along with PSLV-C51 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh at around 10.30 am tomorrow. PSLV-C51 rocket which is the 53rd mission of PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) will launch Amazonia-1 of Brazil as primary satellite and 18 co-passenger satellites from Sriharikota about 100 kms from Chennai. JIT managing director N Marie Wilson and principal L M Merlin Livngston said “Thestudents and faculty have worked towards their dream of creating own satellite since 2018.
