Stalin said in a statement that after consultations with the representatives of different sections of the people, the state government is going to give relaxation in 27 districts of the state including the capital Chennai.

Chief Minister Stalin said in a statement that tea shops can be opened from 6 am to 5 pm.

He appealed to the people to use utensils instead of plastic bags to take hot tea home.

These shops have been closed since the imposition of lockdown in the state on May 10 due to the second wave of Covid-19 and these restrictions have been increased from time to time.

The statement said that shops selling sweets etc.

will be allowed to be opened between 8 am to 2 pm and only parcel services will be allowed.
