According to the information received, Tamil Nadu has extended the lockdown till 23 August.

According to the guidelines issued by the government, during this period, public worship and prayers have been banned in all places of worship in the state on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The number of corona infected has been increasing in different parts of the state for the last few days, in which daily cases are getting 1500.

In Tamil Nadu alone, 1,997 new cases of corona have been confirmed yesterday.

At the same time, shops have been refused to open in major crowded places in Chennai.

In Coimbatore, vegetable and grocery stores are already restricted to operate only from 6 am to 5 pm.
