Cops to sensitize parents, children on cybercrimes

“A team will have an inspector, a sub-inspector and three head constables,” Lakshmi said.They will sensitize parents on the impact of social media on children to ensure that they don’t fall prey to cybercrimes. It’s our responsibility to prevent the children to become prey to crooks on the internet. They also will share their mobile numbers to the students.“They will have regular counselling sessions with children and help them overcome problems like harassment. If students can’t interact with the head constables in person, they can contact them over phone,” said Lakshmi. The parents and teachers will be given better understanding of cybercrimes and the ways to prevent and tackle them,” Lakshmi said.The women head constables will regularly visit schools in their respective police limits and interact with students..
