Minister S P Velumani arrives two hours late, delays CRPF training for Tamil Nadu police

COIMBATORE: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), which is known for being punctual, on Saturday delayed a disaster management programme by two hours. By that time, CRPF police personnel, who were waiting for the minister, had started to sleep.Later, the CRPF personnel conducted the mock drills to rescue the people during disasters. As always, CRPF personnel, about 200 of them, turned up at the venue well in advance.Meanwhile, Coimbatore range deputy inspector general of police G Karthikeyan and more than 70 police personnel also arrived at the venue. The minister, however, kept them waiting for at least two hours.
