Flood-hit Wayanad is ready to receive tourists

more-inWith a view to instil the confidence among the tourists across the nation and from abroad that the flood-hit Wayanad in Kerala is ready to receive tourists, the Wayanad Tourism Promotion Council in association with the Travel Agents Association of Coimbatore (TAAC) organised an inter-state bike rally from Coimbatore to Wayanad on Saturday. A unique bike rally called ‘Wayanad Beckons’ by about 20 riders will kick-start their rally on Sunday, said P.P. Tourist destinations in Wayanad region are open for tourism in a record time after a heavy rainfall and devastating flood. He told reporters that these bike riders have already created awareness at different tourist destinations of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka earlier. This part of the state has recovered and back to normal in a short span of time and most sought after destinations are open to receive the tourists”, he said..
