Mettur thermal power station resumes generation

more-inThe Mettur Thermal Power Station (MTPS) here has once again attained its full generation capacity after a gap of eight days, with the unit No. II and III – were shutdown on September 16, power generation in the second plant was suspended on Wednesday. III in the first plant and the full second plant becoming operational on Monday evening. The MTPS sources here said that of late, about 24,000 tonnes of coal is being received at Mettur daily.
