As per a new regulation, only people from outside the university could be appointed to the search committee and they would have to be selected by the syndicate and the university senate, the official said. “We are awaiting the governor’s dates. We will finalise the convocation date after getting a final word from him,” the official said.The preliminary work to form a search panel to select a vice-chancellor for the university will begin next month, the official said..
