Tirupur: Three people were killed in two road accidents in the district on Monday.A car mowed down the motorcycle carrying K Ayyasamy of Perunthozhuvu and his friend K Ganesan of Palladam near Amaravathipalayam on the Tirupur-Kangeyam Road. Both of them were thrown off the motorcycle and died on the spot, police sources said. While the man died on the spot, 11 of the 14 people travelling in the van sustained minor injuries. The Nallur police have registered a case.In the second incident, 29-year-old Gunasekaran of Padiyur died after a van crashed into his motorcycle while he was on the way to Padiyur. Ayyasamy was working in a knitwear unit and Ganesan was working as an electrician.The bodies were taken to the Tirupur Government Hospital for postmortem..
