Tirupur: Two persons, one of them a pedestrian, were killed in as many separate road accidents in the district on Wednesday.In the first accident, A Rajan, 35, of Boyampalayam was killed when a private bus plying between Coimbatore and Tirupur rammed the motorcycle he was riding at Kaikatti Pudur junction. He was critically injured and taken to a private hospital in Coimbatore, where he died without responding to the treatment. Rajan sustained severe head injuries and he was rushed to the Avinashi government hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The Kangeyam police have registered a case. The Avinashi police have registered a case and further investigations are on.In the second incident, P Gurusamy, 55, of Chettiyar Street in Kangeyam, was killed when an unknown vehicle knocked him down while he was returning home on foot at Chinna Pudur junction..
