Dengue ward set up at SCB, sanitation drive starts in Cuttack

CUTTACK: The SCB Medical College and Hospital authorities have set up a special dengue ward to ensure best healthcare facilities for the patients.The ward has 150 beds apart from eight ICU beds. Health officials have been asked to identify dengue patients at the preliminary stage. Doctors said most of the patients had arrived to SCB from outside Odisha while two patients were from Cuttack. "This is the season when the hospital gets flooded with hundreds of dengue patients. The ward is also equipped with adequate paramedic staff, mosquito nets and other necessary equipment like dengue test kits.The move came after SCB received seven dengue cases last week..
