Cyclone Yaas has crossed coastal areas after wreaking havoc in Odisha.

The storm made a landfall 20 kilometres from Baleshwar.

Then from there this cyclonic storm is moving in the north and northwest direction and is reported to reach Jharkhand on Thursday.

The storm caused strong winds ranging from 130 to 140 kilometres.

Bhadrak and Baleshwar districts have suffered a lot due to this cyclonic storm.

After the cyclone Yaas passed through Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik conducted an aerial survey to assess the damage caused by the storm.

According to information received from a CM office source, the Chief Minister conducted an aerial inspection of the worst affected Baleshwar, Kendrapada and Bhadrak.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had already kept an eye on the situation regarding the storm Yaas and had been meeting almost every day and giving necessary guidelines to the officials.
