IMD issues yellow warning for 12 Odisha districts, heavy rains and thunderstorms predicted

Summary:

In the issued warning information, between 1.30 pm on June 4 to 8.30 am on June 5, heavy rain is predicted in twelve districts of the state

.

The Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at one or two places in the south, west and north interior districts of Odisha and one or two places in the rest of the state in the next 24 hours.

Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued in all the districts due to the possibility of a thunderstorm.

In the issued warning information, between 1.30 pm on June 4 to 8.30 am on June 5, heavy rain is predicted in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Baleshwar districts of the state.

During this, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms in one or two of these districts.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for all these districts and has advised people not to come out of their houses during thunderstorms and rains.

There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in the state till June 7 due to Kalbaishakhi
