The Regional Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar on Thursday informed that light to heavy rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur over many parts of Odisha for the next five days.

As predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorms are very likely at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts today.

There will be slight change in weather on Sunday with chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Nuapada, Navrangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sundergarh districts; And there is a possibility of lightning at one or two places in Koraput, Navrangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonpur, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Cuttack districts.

Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Nayagarh and Cuttack districts on Monday.
