2 snatchers arrested, 35 mobiles and a laptop seized

RUDRAPUR: Police on Saturday busted a gang of snatchers with the arrest of two brothers who were accused in the case. Police have also recovered 35 mobiles and a laptop from them. Investigation is on in the case, police said. The accused, identified as Brajesh, 30, and Durgesh Saxena, 22, both residents of Barkheda village in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, had committed over a hundred snatchings in the past six months.Superintendent of police (SP) US Nagar, Devendra Peencha, said that acting on a tip-off the team from Rudrapur police station apprehended the two accused from the sales tax check post at Rampur road.Police said that the brothers had started snatchings to meet their expenses and they targeted people in posh areas..
