To balance the situation, we have asked the people to withdraw only up to Rs 5,000 at one go so that others too can withdraw cash. However, owing to shortage of cash, tourists won’t spend much and we will run into losses.”Shortage of cash in ATMs in Haridwar and Rishikesh has also jeopardized plans of pilgrims and tour operators.
