DEHRADUN: Two teenaged friends drowned and one was rescued while taking a dip in Yamuna near Dak Pathar in Vikasnagar . While 13-year-old Lokesh Kumar was rescued, Anas Naeem (15) and Lakshya Kumar (15) drowned.Rescue operations were started on Thursday at 5am and lasted for several hours. Their cries for help alerted local residents and police who jumped in to save the trio. The bodies have been handed to families by Vikasnagar police. The incident occurred on Wednesday and bodies of two victims were recovered on Thursday by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).The three boys, all residents of Jeevangarh, went to Yamuna to take a dip but were swept away by strong currents..
