Rishikesh: One person was killed in a road accident when the camper van he was travelling in fell into a 75 meter gorge in Shivpuri area of Rishikesh on Saturday night. The accident took place near Shivpuri rafting point under jurisdiction of Muni-ki-Reti police station.SHO Muni-ki-Reti RK Saklani, said, “The vehicle was coming from Shivpuri to Gular when the accident took place. The car en route to Rishikesh from Srinagar.The victim has been identified as Rohan Panwar, resident of village Pantwadi, Nainbag, Tehri Garhwal who was driving the vehicle. Initial investigation has revealed that the vehicle was on high speed at the time of accident and the driver lost control and fell into the gorge. According to police, another passenger was rescued from the vehicle and is currently in hospital..
