NAINITAL: The Uttarakhand high court on Friday while hearing a matter regarding tender process of helipads on Kedarnath route has recommended to acting chief justice of the high court Rajiv Sharma to treat the petition as a public interest litigation. The matter was heart in the single bench of justice Lok Pal Singh.Xitij Kaushik, counsel for the petitioner, told TOI, “Taking into consideration various aspects such as irregularities in ticket pricing, inconvenience caused to pilgrims and ecological imbalance being caused by frequent helicopter ferrying, the court made detailed observations and has asked the registry department of the high court to place the matter before the chief justice to consider it to be treated as a PIL .”.
