NH-74 probe impartial, all accused will be booked: CM

The suspension of the two officers was okayed by the CM. It was alleged that in some cases, agriculture land was shown as non-agriculture land to provide higher compensation to individuals while in some cases, compensation for even government land was given to private individuals. Following the approvals of the arbitrators, payments worth crores were made to private parties. While Pandey had acted as arbitrator in twelve matters of compensation related to acquisition of land for widening of the highway, Yadav had acted in three matters during his term as DM. Dehradun: Days after two senior IAS officers were suspended in the Rs 300 crore NH-74 scam, CM Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the scam was “being probed impartially” and none of the accused would walk free.Speaking with the media on sidelines of the BJP office bearers meeting at the party head office in Dehradun, the CM said, “The probe into the scam is impartial and if need arises, more agencies would be involved in the case,” said Rawat.Rawat also said that the departmental proceedings against the two suspended IAS officials would start soon..
