Dehradun: The Uttarakhand cabinet has raised the dearness allowance (DA) of state government employees from the existing 7% to 9%. Earlier in August this year, the Narendra Modi led government had increased the DA of central employees from 7% to 9%.For the Kharif season (2018-19), the state cabinet has decided to procure 7.5 lakh ton paddy. Out of which, 1.5 lakh ton would be procured through government agencies like cooperatives and the remaining six lakh through commission agents. In such cases, the committee would have the right to award work after looking into various aspects. The maximum serving age would be 65 years and the contract would be renewed each year..
