After road accident murder accused flees police custody

Rudrapur: An accused involved in a murder case in Kichha, Udham Singh Nagar district, managed to flee from police custody from Pilkhuwa in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur on Monday. Police had later arrested Sukhdev Singh and Angrej Singh, both contract killers, and also recovered the murder weapon. The incident took place when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident on Delhi highway.The district police team was bringing the accused to Kichha from Mumbai, where he was arrested from the airport a couple of days ago. On interrogation the arrested accused told police that they were given the contract by Sameer’s partner Jasvinder Singh Sandhu and his son Ranjeet Singh alias Raja, Prasanjeet Singh and Gurcharan Singh.Police had arrested three of them while Raja had reportedly fled to Canada on tourist visa.
