PWD prepares Rs 12 crore plan to repair 13 major roads in Dehradun

DEHRADUN: Two days after chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat ordered the Public Works Department (PWD) to repair all city roads in a week for the upcoming Investors’ Summit in Dehradun, the PWD has prepared an action plan to repair 13 major roads in the city with a budget of Rs 12 crore.Officials at the PWD said that 13 roads that would be used most by the visitors to the summit were being repaired first. “We have set October 30 as the deadline for repairing all the roads across state and October 15 for repairing all the roads in Dehradun and set aside a budget of Rs 36 crore for it,” said Agrawal. While some of the roads will be resurfaced, other stretches will be repaired for potholes.PWD superintendent engineer R C Agrawal told TOI that the work is being carried out on war footing..
