Dehradun: People at various places across the country held prayer meets in remembrance of Swami Sanand aka Professor GD Agrawal and hailed him for laying down his life for the sake for a clean and free-flowing Ganga. Notably, the former IIT professor-turned seer had written repeatedly to the PM before and after starting his fast but did not receive a reply. Reports came of ‘shok sabhas’ (condolence meets) and candle marches being held in places as diverse as Pimpri in Mahara-shtra to Raipur in Chhattishgarh for the Ganga crusader.
