Pharmacists protest say govt not resolving their grievances

Dehradun | Monday | 10th December, 2018

Summary:

The protesting pharmacists are upset that more than 50 posts are vacant despite repeated reminders to the state government to either recruit pharmacists or promote the existing staff to fill up the vacant posts. Anger among the pharmacists is growing as our grievances are not being heard by the authorities concerned. Neither did they got any hike in salary or a decent retirement amount and pension. Dehradun: Unhappy over the Uttarakhand government’s alleged attitude of constantly turning a deaf ear to the demands of pharmacists across the state, members of the Diploma Pharmacists Association (DPA) on Monday -- in its third phase of protest -- demonstrated outside the offices of the Dehradun chief medical officer (CMO) and the district magistrate. We are being forced to remain quite or quit the job.”end.
