Dehradun: Police on Sunday filed a case of cheating and forgery against kidney racket kingpin Amit Raut, who is currently lodged in Suddhowala jail in Dehradun on charges of running country’s biggest kidney racket from a hospital on the outskirts of Dehradun.The case was filed under section 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery) and 471 (using forged document as genuine) on the basis of complaint filed by Amit’s wife, Bulbul Kataria.Bulbul, in her complaint, claimed that her husband Amit Raut fraudulently transferred the power of attorney of his four properties, which have been earlier attached by central bureau of investigation (CBI), enforcement directorate and income tax department, in the name of three persons, identified as Rohit Sharma, Ravikant, and Ravi Sharma, all residents of Dehradun.She stated that Amit in connivance with the other three accused in the matter mislead the court and made forged power of attorney by presenting wrong facts and documents..
