Ahead of PM visit, Agra civic body gets busy taming stray animals

Several other incidents have surfaced in which stray animals have caused disturbance to foreign tourists around the Taj Mahal.The major destinations of stray animals in the city are around vegetable markets and civic body’s poorly maintained garbage houses. Stray animals especially cows occupy space road and cause traffic jams. The civic body has also issued strict warning to cattle owners to keep stock confined to their barracks. Agra: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on January 9, the Agra Municipal Corporation (AMC) is making all possible efforts to catch stray animals including cows, ox, buffaloes and dogs loitering on the airport road, MG road and vicinity of Kothi Meena Bazaar ground, where the PM will address a mega rally.AMC teams are busy ensuring that the stray animals do not cause any trouble during PM’s visit..
