Uttarakhand Sixmember team to conduct audit of swine flu deaths

The city has reported seven swine flu deaths in the ongoing season. DEHRADUN: In the backdrop of rising swine flu deaths in the state, the Uttarakhand health department on Wednesday constituted a six-member team to conduct audit of the deaths.The team will be headed by additional chief medical officer of Dehradun, Dr Narendra Kumar. The number of patients tested positive of swine flu is 10.Meanwhile, the chief medical officer of Dehradun has also issued alert and formed a team to conduct awareness camp about the deadly virus across the schools in the city. He will be assisted by five specialists.Director general health Dr TC Pant said the team will conduct the audits of swine flu or H1N1 influenza deaths across Uttarakhand.“The audit team will check the health history of the patients as well as check the medication prescribed to them,” said a health department official.Moreover, the DG health has also announced to run a separate OPD for influenza cases at Doon hospital so that the patients can be treated on priority basis.On Tuesday, a 55-year-old woman died due to swine flu disease in Dehradun..
