Nainital: An 18-month-old tiger was found dead near Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) on Sunday. The carcass was recovered from Amdanda forest range of Ramnagar Forest Division which is adjacent to CTR. “Initially, we thought that the tiger was killed by a speeding vehicle but the post mortem report revealed that the death was due to infighting.” This is the first tiger death reported from the state this year.KN Bharti, sub-divisional forest officer of Ramnagar forest division, said, “According to the team of doctors who conducted the post-mortem, the tiger was killed in infighting.
