Pictures of YogiModi removed from government offices

Agra: Pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath are being removed from government offices in accordance with model code of conduct for the upcoming general elections.The pictures are being removed from commissioner’s office, collectorate, Agra Municipal Corporation, development authority, public works department, Vikas Bhavan among several other offices. Deputy district election officer (additional district magistrate) Ramesh Chand said, “Senior officials of different departments have been asked to ensure that the picture are removed.”The officer said, “The pictures of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and architect of the Indian constitution Bhimrao Ambedkar do not violate the model code of conduct and will continue to remain on display in different offices”.According to the civic body officials, political content on display at over 1,200 government properties and 500 private properties has been removed..
