Haridwar: BSP candidate Antariksh Saini filed his nomination papers for Haridwar Lok Sabha seat on Friday afternoon. Confident of a victory this time, Saini said, “There are 2.25 lakh Saini votes in the constituency, 3.5 lakh dalit votes, and around 4.5 lakh Muslim votes. Saini first contested polls in 2002 as a BSP candidate from Vikasnagar Assembly seat, but was defeated. A doctor by profession, Saini (61) runs an IVS clinic in Dehradun along with his wife (also a doctor). He tried to get the party ticket from Haridwar in 2014 as well, but the party chose Haji Mohammad Islam over him..
