436 fresh COVID cases surface in Uttarakhand, 11 deaths

Continuing with the trend, state capital Dehradun had the highest number of cases (143) followed by Nainital (103), Haridwar (61), Almora (38), Pithoragarh (31), Pauri (17), Udham Singh Nagar (12), Champawat (12), Uttarkashi (08), Tehri (7), Chamoli (2) and Rudraprayag (2).

Among the deceased include an 80-year-old woman, who breathed her last at Kailash Hospital Dehradun, while the youngest death was reported to be a 57-year-old woman who was undergoing treatment at Dr Susheela Tiwari Government Hospital.
Meanwhile, the containment zones have been reduced to 17 on Thursday.

Uttarkashi has five containment zones, Naintial has four, three each in Dehradun and Pauri.

The total number of recovered patients also saw a rise with 579 patients discharged/ cured on a single day.

Overall, 80,467 patients have been cured in the state till date.
