12,000 springs of the state will be revived

DEHRADUN: It is on the behest of the state government, all the NGOs' and funding agencies who are working for revival of drying springs in the state have prepared a proposal of revival of 12,000 springs worth Rs 500 crore. This proposal would be sent to the Ministry of Drinking Water at the Centre for funding through the state government. The entire program would percolate down to local communities which would maintain these revived springs.
