Glanders scare: ‘cancel or delay derby’

A notice has been issued to the Delhi Golf Course asking it either to postpone the event till mid-April or cancel it due to the scare of “deadly zoonotic disease”, the Delhi government’s Additional Standing Counsel said. The counsel for the owner had said their horses were free from glanders and were ready to undergo the tests again. Delhi government’s Additional Standing Counsel Naushad Ahmed Khan said a notification was issued to the Delhi Golf Course asking it either to postpone the event till mid-April or cancel it due to the scare of “deadly zoonotic disease”. He had told the court that 46 horses had tested positive for glanders in the Capital and the infection was spreading..
