Taj Hotels wins bid to run CP’s Connaught

NEW DELHI: The heart of Delhi will soon get a luxury hotel with the Tatas checking in at The Connaught for 33 years, by winning the NDMC auction bid on Wednesday. With the 1987-era Connaught, the number of Taj Hotels under various brands in Delhi-NCR goes up to 15. It is only now that the civic agency is hoping to generate some revenue from this prime property with Tatas checking in. The prime central Delhi property was closed in 2013, after the previous operator ran it for 18 years without an NDMC licence.
