Ex-law minister charged for cheating bar council

Seven people, however, were discharged by the court.The others charged include Bare Narayan Singh, an official of Tilka Manji Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur, who issued Tomar a “forged” LLB certificate. NEW DELHI: A court on Saturday framed charges of criminal conspiracy, forgery and cheating against former Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar and eight others for allegedly forging marksheets and degrees to get the AAP leader enrolled in Bar Council of Delhi.Tomar “has also given a forged RTI reply to the police during investigation. In this manner, he has cheated Bar Council of Delhi as the bar council would not have registered him as an advocate had he not used the forged documents for registration”, said additional chief metropolitan magistrate Samar Vishal.It observed Tomar also seemed to be in a criminal conspiracy with others for the forged documents..
