Delhi: Seized painkillers turn out to be fakes

NEW DELHI: The seizure of 46,656 capsules of a pain-relief drug from three smugglers two days ago just took a more serious turn. The investigators discovered on Saturday that the seized pills were fake , and the capsules were being prepared, packed and supplied from a factory in Ghaziabad. The seized drug contains substances like dicyclomine, paracetamol, acetaminophen and tramadol.Spasmol Proxyvon is prescribed for relief from severe pain, but is popular among youngsters and middle-aged consumers as a narcotic.
