more-inThe Jawaharlal Nehru Students’ Union on Monday posed several questions to the JNU administration regarding the need to switch to computer-based entrance examination and called it a “massive scam in the making”. JNU was on the path of adopting a very objective, unbiased, transparent, secure and efficient entrance examination process that will benefit the academic systems, the administration said. The university’s Academic Council had recently decided to introduce online examinations as the mode of entrance examinations for admissions in the academic year 2019-20. ‘Leaks, malpractices’This also opens up the examination to the possibility of leaks and other malpractices, they said. The JNUSU pointed out that there have been massive glitches and leaks in several online examinations and questioned why the V-C was so keen to make JNU’s time-tested robust and esteemed entrance process and future of thousands of aspirants vulnerable to malpractices, leaks and glitches..
