NEW DELHI: Flight operations at Delhi's IGI Airport are likely to be affected for a week - November 16-23 - due to runway repairs.The airport operator, DIAL, said runway 27/09 was likely to be closed down for "preventive repairs" and maintenance from Friday for a week; the other two runways - 10/28 and 11/29 - will remain operational. “We are only likely to see dense fog in December and delays and cancellations start occurring around December 15. The airport at present has three runways, however a fourth runway is planned under the master-plan and could be completed by 2022, making IGI the first airport in the country with four runways.
