3C directors arrested for duping homebuyers

NEW DELHI: In a major crackdown on the builders in Delhi and NCR, economic offences wing of Delhi Police has arrested real estate honchos Nirmal Singh, Surpreet Singh and Vidur Bhardwaj, who are directors of 3C builders and involved in the Lotus 300 project in Noida, on charges of cheating, police said.The accused are residents of Panchsheel Vihar, Sainik Farms and Greater Kailash area respectively. "The FIR pertains to irregularities in Lotus 300 project which has not been delivered since 2011," said an officer.The accused were arrested on Friday and will be produced in court by Saturday noon.They have been charged with sections 420 (cheating), 409 (criminal breach of trust) and 120b (criminal conspiracy)..
