Delhi: Afghan National caught at IGIA for attempting to smuggle US dollars

New Delhi: An Afghan national was caught at Indira Gandhi International Airport after he attempted to smuggle out US Dollars worth Rs 38 Lakhs this Wednesday. Two CISF personnel approached the Afghan national and asked him to cooperate for a detailed search of his baggage, HT reports. Initial investigations revealed the Afghan national was a ‘carrier’ according to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officers who said he was travelling to Kabul, Afghanistan. “On checking, $53,700 worth Rs 38 lakh were found between layers of clothes.
