Delhi Police Commissioner holds inter-sate police meeting ahead of Republic Day

Keeping the upcoming Republic Day celebrations in mind, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik held a meeting with senior police officials from several states on Wednesday at the police headquarters in Delhi and discussed security issues related to the Republic Day functions in NCR. "The main objective of the meeting was to share terror-related intelligence and inputs about various extremist outfits and their designs in view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebrations. Senior police officials from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh were present in the meeting. The CP Delhi also requested all the participating police officers to take all necessary measures in view of recent events such as the Republic Day celebrations, terrorist attack and threat perceptions.
