Kalindi Kunj gets its own police station

NEW DELHI: In order to prevent crimes along the Delhi-UP border in south-east Delhi, a new police station has been set up at Kalindi Kunj that would cover areas along the Yamuna floodplains.Police officers said that the decision to set up a separate police station was taken due to the increase in the density of population in the area. The area was earlier under the Jaitpur police station that covered a large stretch.Special commissioner, Law and Order (south) R P Upadhyay said that the new police station has been set up in a renovated building, which earlier housed the Jaitpur police station.Apart from the regular police station set up, it will also have an open gymnasium at the courtyard..
